In the interest of transparency, here is another quick take from my other social media accounts.
I do not know about the rest of you, but I feel as if a septic fever is about to break in the US (and perhaps in NZ, although the latter is not yet as severe). The boil gets lanced today, the MAGA purulence oozes away over the next couple of years, the body politic begins to gradually clear its system of residual pustulent agents, and like a deeply embedded rusty nail, the largest source of the infectious rot known as MAGA is removed in 2028.
This is more than a Blue Wave moment. It is the beginning of a Blue Biospleen cleansing (https://hms.harvard.edu/news/blood-cleanser-sepsis) of the US body politic. One can only hope that the same happens in Aotearoa, beginning with a strong dose of anti-rightwing election virals on November 7.
