    See, jc, when you made basically this exact comment on my blog, I thought you hadn’t actually LOOKED at the flowchart. Now you’re saying you HAVE and you’re still trying to peddle the idea that the question is really totally simple and straightforward, and we’re the idiots?

  4. It makes sense as a question if and only if you believe that smacking can be a part of good parental correction and you can’t see that anyone could believe otherwise.

    But for there to be any point to having a referendum you also have to believe that smacking is a [seriously prosecuted under any and all circumstances] criminal offence, and that the question as stated will give a clear and unambiguous result.
